Coup de Foudre, limited edition from the Spring 2013 collection, on counters now:
Les Fumes, from the permanent line:
Les Verts, from the permanent line:
Les Ombres Turandot, limited edition from the fall 2012 collection and my favorite of the four I own:
And here is an example to show you what I mean when I say they look magical on the eyes. Swatched on the hand, Les Ombres Turandot looks unbelievably warm and even a bit muddy, like it would be impossible for someone with my skin tone to pull off. But see how positively flattering and glowy it is in this look I did? (Not to toot my own horn, but I really love this look on myself and always get compliments when I wear it!)
I purchased all four of my quads from Sarah, the Guerlain counter manager at the Bellevue Nordstrom (phone 425-455-5800). LOVE & highly recommend her!
So, for those of you who love Guerlain too, which ones are your favorites? What will you be rushing out to buy soon, and which one should I be looking at for my next purchase?

omg! you just gave me lemmings! i've looked at guerlain swatches i don't know how many times and have never purchased because of how expensive they are. now you're seriously making me consider it!
ReplyDeleteso...guerlain...does their limited edition stuff tend to sell out quick like MAC?
Yes, the LE items tend to :( not in hours like MAC, but in maybe a week or two. I think Turandot is near-impossible to find now, sadly! If you like Coup de Foudre, get that one while you can!
DeleteIt's really pretty on your eyes. It makes the blue pop. Karin
ReplyDeleteWhat mascara are you wearing? Your lashes look beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle! In that look I used Clinique's High Impact Curling mascara, which is hands-down my favorite tubing mascara I've tried.
DeleteTurandot looks incredible on you! Would you be willing to share how you applied it (ie fluffy versus flat) and if you added any other shades with it (maybe a shimmery base/primer)? It looks very muddy and bruised on me & I can't figure out why as I am about the same skintone as you are. Perhaps it's just skilled application as every FOTD I've seen of yours is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks so much! I didn't use a shimmery base, only NARS primer. I patted the colors on pretty heavily with a MAC 239 and used a MAC 286 and the matte deep mauvey color to blend in the crease. Then I brushed on a little MAC Blanc Type eyeshadow with the MAC 217 just under my brows as a highlight shade. I hope that helps!
DeleteThank you so much for your reply! I think it must just suit your coloring well. :) I'll keep trying but I suspect Turandot just isn't for me.
DeleteNo problem! If you decide to let it go I'm sure you could find a taker to swap for it or buy it from you. I love it so much I bought a backup, and I know many are still hunting for one!
