NYX Lipliners

So, this is going to be a pretty short and sweet post - one of my readers requested that I swatch all of my NYX lipliners, and I was happy to oblige! I periodically go through lipliner phases and have tried ones from many brands out there, and despite only being a few dollars each, the NYX ones are my favorites. They're creamy without being too smushable (yes, I just made that up) and relatively long-wearing without being drying. I don't have the full line of colors, but I have all the ones I want that are sold at Ulta (there are a few more shades that don't really appeal to me, and there may be more available online, I'm not sure).

Swatches ahoy!

Note: I know how to spell the word "fuchsia" correctly. It is NYX who does not. See?

I tend to use Pale Pink, Nude Pink, Fuchsia / Fuschia (which goes GREAT with MAC Girl About Town, my favorite bright pink lipstick), and Pumpkin the most.

Here's a color list, to aid our Googling friends: Pale Pink, Nude Pink, Peekaboo Neutral, Rose, Sand Pink, Dolly Pink, Fuchsia / Fuschia, Edge Pink, Pumpkin.

Disclaimer: I purchased the product(s) featured in this post myself.

  1. Thank you for this! I think I need to get Nude, Rose, and Sand Pink. Pale Pink and Peekaboo Natural look like they'll be far too brown for my lips.

    1. You're welcome! Pale Pink isn't really that brown on me - it's more of a soft pinky nude. I'll try to do lip swatches at some point!

    2. That'd be great. I got the Boots No7 Nude pencil the other week and it looks very similar to the Pale Pink in your swatch, but it pulled really brown on my lips. Might try it anyway, see if it has less brown undertone. You're the best!

  2. I hardly wear lip pencils any more -- and I have a lot. But I agree with you on the colors, that pumpkin looks amazing.

    1. Pumpkin is definitely beautiful! It's a highly unique color in my experience, and goes great with oranges, orange-reds, and orange-corals in my opinion. :)
