Just wanted to share my current mani with you guys, 'cause it's AMAZEBALLS. This is Layla Hologram Effect nail polish in Ocean Rush.
With flash:
Indoor lighting (our bathroom has these mysterious light bulbs that make every nail polish look incredible - it's magic - and yes, that's my shower curtain in the background):
Outside on a cloudy day, the holo effect is much weaker but still semi-visible:
I used Nfu-Oh Aqua Base as a base coat (a necessary step under any linear holo polish!), then three coats of Ocean Rush. I topped it off with one coat of Barielle Manicure Extender and then one coat of Seche Vite top coat. (I've been layering Barielle ME over Seche Vite for all my manis lately - it increases the glossiness factor and my wear time by DAYS.) Of my 5 Layla holos, this one was actually the biggest pain to apply, but I was still able to get it smooth with three coats. I'll try to post swatches of the other four as time permits! :)
Disclaimer: I purchased the product(s) featured in this post myself.

Pretty stuff! I'm sure that in motion, it looks fabulous outside, even if it seems a bit weak standing still in the cloudy light. So flash those fingers-- Jazz hands!
