Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Sheers

This is definitely going to be one of those posts where I don't have a ton to say, just because I pretty much unequivocally like the product - no complaints here!

You all know by now that I love moisturizing, sheer lip products, and Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Sheers are just that. They have a soft peppermint scent and are of varying pigmentation (though I'd say most hover around "medium"). I absolutely adore these; as with any product I swatch, I wasn't expecting to keep most of the shades, but there were so many I didn't want to let go of. Because I couldn't justify to myself owning what seemed like a zillion products that would qualify as "sheer lipsticks," I ended up getting rid of about half of my MAC Slimshines in favor of several of these.

I wouldn't call them long-wearing, but I don't have to reapply these more often than every few hours (especially with the darker shades) unless I'm doing a lot of eating or drinking. They're SPF 20, available in virtually all drugstores and retail for approximately $9 each. Enjoy!

Last but not least, here are some LOTDs for you with my favorite shades. Ruby Bliss is easily one of the most universally wearable red lipsticks I've ever seen (and MakeupAlley product reviews confirm this, too!):

MoistureShine Lip Sheer: Sparkling Nude, Honey Breeze, Peach Sorbet, Cool Nectar, Sunny Berry, Mocha Chill, Shimmering Blush, Spring Blossom, Pink Splash, Fresh Rose, Glimmering Orchid, Frosty Mauve, Ripe Raspberry, Blackberry Ice, Plum Kiss, Ruby Bliss

  3. Babybubblz, I guess I should have elaborated on that :) most of the shades are sheerer than Ruby Bliss is, and almost all of them are quite buildable - you can apply one layer for a little bit of color, and add some more if you want a little more intense color. Only the darker shades are super-pigmented :)

  4. These look freaking gorgeous on you. I"m bummed, I bought frosty mauve a few months back because I wanted a sheer plum, but it goes on practically clear on me :(

  8. As a fair freckled dark blonde I struggle with reds a lot. I bought this on a whim marked down and I love it. Completely wearable with none of the slightly startling effect a more dense red can have on me.

I wish they had a few more intense colours in the line up... a nice coral would make me happy ; -)

It layers REALLY well over covergirl outlast lipstains. They were made for each other!
